The 74VHC03 is a high-speed CMOS quad 2-input open drain NAND gate with preliminary data released in June 1999.
It has a high-speed of tPD=3.7ns (TYP.) at VCC=5V and low power dissipation with ICC=2µA (MAX.) at TA=25oC.
The device has high noise immunity, power down protection on inputs, and an operating voltage range of VCC(OPR)=2V to 5.5V.
It is pin and function compatible with the 74 series 03 and has improved latch-up immunity and low noise.
The device can be used in various applications including wired AND configuration, LED driver, and current sink.
It also has power down protection on all inputs and can accept 0 to 7V on inputs with no regard to the supply voltage.
The device is equipped with protection circuits against static discharge, providing 2kV ESD immunity and transient excess voltage.
The recommended operating conditions, absolute maximum ratings, truth table, pin description, and IEC logic symbols are also provided in the data sheet.
Additionally, the device has dynamic switching characteristics, DC specifications, and capacitive characteristics.
