For best performance,follow these simple rules when installing

the ADIS16488A into a system:

1. Eliminate opportunity fortranslational force (x- and y-axis

direction,perFigure6)application ontheelectrical connector.

2. Isolate mounting force to the fourcorners, on the portion

of the package surface that surrounds the mounting holes.

3. Use uniform mounting forces on all four corners. The

suggested torquesetting is 40 inch-ounces (0.285 N-m).

These three rules helpprevent irregularforce profiles, which

can warp the package and introducebias errorsin the sensors.

Figure 26 provides an example that leverageswashersto set the

package offthemounting surfaceand uses 2.85 mmpass-through

holes and backside washers/nuts forattachment. Figure27 and

Figure 28 provide somedetailsformounting holeand connector

alignment pin drill locations.
