When processing data fromtheseregisters, use a 16-bit, twos complement data format (see Table 32, Table33, and Table 34). Table 35 provides x_DELTVEL_OUT digital coding examples. The delta velocity outputs representan integration of the accelerometer measurements and use thefollowing formula for all three axes (x-axis displayed): ( ) ∑ − = − + + + × = ∆ 1 0 1 , , , 2 1 D d d D n x d D n x S D n x a a f V where: D is the decimation rate = DEC_RATE+ 1. fS is the sample rate. d is the incremental variable in the summation formula. ax is the x-axis linear acceleration. n is the sample time, prior to the decimation filter. When using the internal sampleclock, fS is equal to 2460 SPS. When using theexternal clockoption, fS is equal to thefrequency of the external clock, which is limited to a minimum of 2 kHz, to prevent overflowin the x_DELTVEL_xxx registers at high rotation rates. See Table56 and Figure 20 for moreinformation on the DEC_RATEregister (decimation filter). Table 32.
