8.11 I/O ports

The P89LPC906 has between 3 and 6 I/O pins: P0.4, P0.5, P0.6, P1.5, P3.0, and

P3.1 The exact number of I/O pins available depends on the clock and reset options

chosen, as shown in Table 11.

Required for operation above 12 MHz.

The P89LPC907 and P89LPC908 devices have either 5 or 6 I/O pins depending on

the reset pin option chosen.

8.11.1

Port conﬁgurations

All but one I/O port pin on the P89LPC906/907/908 may be conﬁgured by software to

one of four types on a bit-by-bit basis. These are: quasi-bidirectional (standard 80C51

port outputs), push-pull, open drain, and input-only. Two conﬁguration registers for

each port select the output type for each port pin.

P1.5 (RST) can only be an input and cannot be conﬁgured.
