Initializing the Device 3.1 Power-On Reset (POR) ISL68221 initialization begins after VCC crosses its rising POR threshold. When POR conditions are met, basic digital subsystem integrity checks begin. During this process, the controller starts the telemetry subsystem, configures its PMBus address according to the ADDRESS pin resistor value, loads the selected user configuration from NVM as indicated by the CONFIG pin resistor value, checks fault status, and prepares for regulation. The PWM pins are held in tri-state until the device is commanded to regulate. Figure 3 shows the initialization sequence of the device. Figure 3. Simplified PMBus Initialization Timing Diagram |
