In applications requiring galvanic isolation, VH and VL must be generated by an isolated

power supply. If a power supply with suitable isolation is not available the gate driver's

supply voltages can be provided through a battery. In case the evaluation of driver's

performance does not require galvanic isolation, any power supply with suitable functional

isolation may be used.
