SomeoftheWatchdogTimeroptions,suchasalwaysonselectandclocksourceareselectedusing configurationoptions.WithregardtotheWatchdogTimerenable/disablefunction,therearealsofive bits,WE4~WE0,intheWDTCregistertoofferadditionalenable/disableandresetcontrolofthe WatchdogTimer.IftheWDTconfigurationoptionisdeterminedthattheWDTfunctionisalways enabled,theWE4~WE0bitsstillhaveeffectsontheWDTfunction.WhentheWE4~WE0bits valueisequalto01010Bor10101B,theWDTfunctionisenabled.However,iftheWE4~WE0bits arechangedtoanyothervaluesexcept01010Band10101B,whichiscausedbytheenvironmental noiseorsoftwaresetting,itwillresetthemicrocontrollerafter2~3LIRCclockcycles.IftheWDT configurationoptionisdeterminedthattheWDTfunctioniscontrolledbytheWDTcontrolregister, theWE4~WE0valuescandeterminewhichmodetheWDToperatesin.TheWDTfunctionwillbe disabledwhentheWE4~WE0bitsaresettoavalueof10101B.TheWDTfunctionwillbeenabled iftheWE4~WE0bitsvalueisequalto01010B.IftheWE4~WE0bitsaresettoanyothervaluesby theenvironmentalnoiseorsoftwaresetting,except01010Band10101B,itwillresetthedeviceafter 2~3LIRCclockcycles.Afterpoweronthesebitswillhavethevalueof01010B.
