Position
Switching operating mode
GND
If the skip pin is tied to ground, a pulse-skip mode takes place at light
loads. A zero-crossing comparator prevents the inductor current from
going negative.
VREF
If the skip pin is tied to the VREF pin, the pulse-skip mode is enabled with
a minimum switching frequency of about 25 kHz (ultrasonic mode).
LDO5
If the skip pin is tied to 5 V, the fixed PWM mode is enabled. The switching
output is in a position to sink and source current from the load.
