The following conventions and notations apply in this document unless otherwise stated.

Binary number representation

Binary numbers are represented by strings of digits 0 and 1 shown with the most significant

bit (MSB) on the left, the least significant bit (LSB) on the right, and a “0b” added at the

beginning.
