39 / 134 page ![]() Rev. 1.10 �8 De�e��e� 1�� �01� Rev. 1.10 �9 De�e��e� 1�� �01� HT45F3520/HT45F3530 Personal Care Flash MCU HT45F3520/HT45F3530 Personal Care Flash MCU System Operating Modes Therearefivedifferentmodesofoperationforthemicrocontroller,eachonewithitsown specialcharacteristicsandwhichcanbechosenaccordingtothespecificperformanceand powerrequirementsoftheapplication.Therearetwomodesallowingnormaloperationofthe microcontroller,theNORMALModeandSLOWMode.Theremainingthreemodes,theSLEEP, IDLE0andIDLE1modesareusedwhenthemicrocontrollerCPUisswitchedofftoconservepower. Operating Mode Description CPU fSYS fLIRC fTBC NORMAL �ode On fH~fH/�4 On On SLOW �ode On fL On On IDLE0 �ode Off Off On On IDLE1 �ode Off On On On SLEEP �ode Off Off On Off NORMAL Mode Asthenamesuggeststhisisoneofthemainoperatingmodeswherethemicrocontrollerhasall ofitsfunctionsoperationalandwherethesystemclockisprovidedthehighspeedoscillator.This modeoperatesallowingthemicrocontrollertooperatenormallywithaclocksourcewillcomefrom thehighspeedoscillatorHIRC.Thehighspeedoscillatorwillhoweverfirstbedividedbyaratio rangingfrom1to64,theactualratiobeingselectedbytheCKS2~CKS0andHLCLKbitsinthe SMODregister.Althoughahighspeedoscillatorisused,runningthemicrocontrolleratadivided clockratioreducestheoperatingcurrent. SLOW Mode Thisisalsoamodewherethemicrocontrolleroperatesnormallyalthoughnowwithaslower speedclocksource.TheclocksourceusedwillbefromthelowspeedoscillatorLIRC.Running themicrocontrollerinthismodeallowsittorunwithmuchloweroperatingcurrents.IntheSLOW Mode,thefHisoff. SLEEP Mode TheSLEEPModeisenteredwhenanHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheIDLENbitinthe SMODregisterislow.IntheSLEEPmodetheCPUwillbestopped.HoweverthefLIRCclockswill continuetooperateandtheWatchdogTimerfunctionisenabled. IDLE0 Mode TheIDLE0ModeisenteredwhenaHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheIDLENbitinthe SMODregisterishighandtheFSYSONbitintheSMOD1registerislow.IntheIDLE0Modethe systemoscillatorwillbeinhibitedfromdrivingtheCPUbutsomeperipheralfunctionswillremain operationalsuchastheWatchdogTimerandTMs.IntheIDLE0Mode,thesystemoscillatorwillbe stopped.
