COMMAND REGISTER

The COMMAND register is a write-only register that

allows the user to execute software-controlled Store

and Recall operations. There are two commands that

can be executed, as shown in Table 2-6:

• The Software Store command initiates a manual

Store operation. The 47XXX cannot be accessed

for TSTORE time after this command has been

received. During this time, the 47XXX will not

acknowledge any communication. The Software

Store command will execute regardless of the

state of the AM and ASE bits in the STATUS

the Store operation.

• The Software Recall command initiates a manual

Recall operation. The 47XXX cannot be accessed

for TRECALL time after this command has been

received.

During this time, the 47XXX will not acknowledge

any communication. The AM bit will be cleared at

the end of the Recall operation.

Note:

If a capacitor is not connected to the

VCAP pin, then the VCAP pin must be

connected to VCC and the user must

ensure that power is not lost during a

Store operation, otherwise data corrup-

tion may occur.
