Whenaninterruptisgenerated,theProgramCounter,whichstorestheaddressofthenextinstruction tobeexecuted,willbetransferredontothestack.TheProgramCounterwillthenbeloadedwitha newaddresswhichwillbethevalueofthecorrespondinginterruptvector.Themicrocontrollerwill thenfetchitsnextinstructionfromthisinterruptvector.Theinstructionatthisvectorwillusually bea"JMP"whichwilljumptoanothersectionofprogramwhichisknownastheinterruptservice routine.Hereislocatedthecodetocontroltheappropriateinterrupt.Theinterruptserviceroutine mustbeterminatedwitha"RETI",whichretrievestheoriginalProgramCounteraddressfrom thestackandallowsthemicrocontrollertocontinuewithnormalexecutionatthepointwherethe interruptoccurred. |
