External Interrupts

TheexternalinterruptsarecontrolledbysignaltransitionsonthepinsINT0~INT1.Anexternal

interruptrequestwilltakeplacewhentheexternalinterruptrequestflags,INT0F~INT1F,areset,

whichwilloccurwhenatransition,whosetypeischosenbytheedgeselectbits,appearsonthe

externalinterruptpins.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,

theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,andrespectiveexternalinterruptenablebit,INT0E~INT1E,

mustfirstbeset.AdditionallythecorrectinterruptedgetypemustbeselectedusingtheINTEG

registertoenabletheexternalinterruptfunctionandtochoosethetriggeredgetype.Astheexternal

interruptpinsarepin-sharedwithI/Opins,theycanonlybeconfiguredasexternalinterruptpinsif

theirexternalinterruptenablebitinthecorrespondinginterruptregisterhasbeensetandtheexternal

interruptpinisselectedbythecorrespondingpin-sharedfunctionselectionbits.Thepinmustalso

besetupasaninputbysettingthecorrespondingbitintheportcontrolregister.Whentheinterrupt

isenabled,thestackisnotfullandthecorrecttransitiontypeappearsontheexternalinterruptpin,

asubroutinecalltotheexternalinterruptvector,willtakeplace.Whentheinterruptisserviced,the

externalinterruptrequestflags,INT0F~INT1F,willbeautomaticallyresetandtheEMIbitwillbe

automaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts.Notethatanypull-highresistorselectionsonthe

externalinterruptpinswillremainvalidevenifthepinisusedasanexternalinterruptinput.The

INTEGregisterisusedtoselectthetypeofactiveedgethatwilltriggertheexternalinterrupt.A

choiceofeitherrisingorfallingorbothedgetypescanbechosentotriggeranexternalinterrupt.

NotethattheINTEGregistercanalsobeusedtodisabletheexternalinterruptfunction.

SD Comparator Interrupts

TheSDcomparatorinterruptsarecontrolledbythetwointernalcomparators.AnSDcomparator

interruptrequestwilltakeplacewhentheSDcomparatorinterruptrequestflag,SDCnF,isset,a

situationthatwilloccurwhentheSDcomparatoroutputbitchangesstate.Toallowtheprogram

tobranchtoitsrespectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,andSD

comparatorinterruptenablebit,SDCnE,mustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestack

isnotfullandtheSDcomparatorinputsgenerateacomparatoroutputtransition,asubroutine

calltotheSDcomparatorinterruptvector,willtakeplace.Whentheinterruptisserviced,the

SDcomparatorinterruptrequestflag,SDCnF,willbeautomaticallyresetandtheEMIbitwillbe

automaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts.

A/D Converter Interrupt

TheA/DConverterInterruptiscontrolledbytheterminationofanA/Dconversionprocess.AnA/

DConverterInterruptrequestwilltakeplacewhentheA/DConverterInterruptrequestflag,ADF,

isset,whichoccurswhentheA/Dconversionprocessfinishes.Toallowtheprogramtobranchtoits

respectiveinterruptvectoraddress,theglobalinterruptenablebit,EMI,andA/DInterruptenablebit,

ADE,mustfirstbeset.Whentheinterruptisenabled,thestackisnotfullandtheA/Dconversion

processhasended,asubroutinecalltotheA/DConverterInterruptvector,willtakeplace.Whenthe

interruptisserviced,theA/DConverterInterruptflag,ADF,willbeautomaticallycleared.TheEMI

bitwillalsobeautomaticallyclearedtodisableotherinterrupts.
