Constant Current LED Driver
ThereisanaccurateconstantcurrentdriverwhichisspecificallydesignedforLEDdisplay
applications.Thedeviceprovidesn-channelstableandconstantcurrentoutputsfordrivingLEDs.
Theoutputconstantcurrentisdeterminedbythecurrentgainselectionbits,CCG[1:0]andRGBn
PWMinput.Thecurrentvariationbetweenchannelsislessthan±3%whilethecurrentvariation
betweendifferentdevicesislessthan±6%.Thecharacteristiccurveinthesaturationregionisflat.
TheoutputcurrentremainsconstantregardlessoftheLEDforwardvoltagevalue.
Theconstantcurrentcanbecalculatedusingthefollowingformula:
ICCOn=5mA×Gain
IftheCCENbitissethighandtheRGBnsignalisinalogiclowlevel,theCCOnisdrivenbya
constantcurrent.OtherwisetheCCOnisinafloatingstatus.
