Note that the DSCP translation part is common for both QoS, DP, and DSCP classification, and the

DSCP trust part is common for both QoS and DP classification.

The basic classifier has the option to overrule rewriter configuration (REW:PORT:DSCP_MAP) that

remaps the DSCP value at egress. When ANA_CL:PORT:QOS_CFG.DSCP_KEEP_ENA is set, the

rewriter is instructed not to modify the frame’s DSCP value (IFH.QOS.TRANSP_DSCP is set to 1).

The basic classified QoS, DP, and DSCP can be overwritten by more intelligent decisions made in the

VCAP CLM.
