Example

An EEPROM is used in an application with a temperature profile defined as:

–

10 years at 85°C, that is 20% of the max data retention time at 85°C;

–

20 years at 55°C, that is 10% of the max data retention time at 55°C.

The data will be safe for 30 years, with only 30% of data retention capability (10 years + 20

years is 30 years, with 20% + 10% = 30% of data retention capability): this simple example

demonstrates the excellent data retention capability of the CMOS F8H process EEPROMs.
