Single Pulse Output Mode
Toselectthismode,bitsPTM1andPTM0inthePTMC1registershouldbesetto10respectively
andalsothePTIO1andPTIO0bitsshouldbesetto11respectively.TheSinglePulseOutputMode,
asthenamesuggests,willgenerateasingleshotpulseonthePTMoutputpin.
ThetriggerforthepulseoutputleadingedgeisalowtohightransitionofthePTONbit,whichcan
beimplementedusingtheapplicationprogram.HoweverintheSinglePulseMode,thePTONbit
canalsobemadetoautomaticallychangefromlowtohighusingtheexternalPTCKpin,whichwill
inturninitiatetheSinglePulseoutput.WhenthePTONbittransitionstoahighlevel,thecounter
willstartrunningandthepulseleadingedgewillbegenerated.ThePTONbitshouldremainhigh
whenthepulseisinitsactivestate.Thegeneratedpulsetrailingedgewillbegeneratedwhenthe
PTONbitisclearedtozero,whichcanbeimplementedusingtheapplicationprogramorwhena
comparematchoccursfromComparatorA.
HoweveracomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsoautomaticallyclearthePTONbitandthus
generatetheSinglePulseoutputtrailingedge.InthiswaytheCCRAvaluecanbeusedtocontrolthe
pulsewidth.AcomparematchfromComparatorAwillalsogenerateaPTMinterrupt.Thecounter
canonlyberesetbacktozerowhenthePTONbitchangesfromlowtohighwhenthecounter
restarts.IntheSinglePulseModeCCRPisnotused.ThePTCCLRisnotusedinthisMode.
