The Beta configuration registers are used to set or indicate external BJT type or minimum PNP Beta for the

corresponding external channels.

0: The automatic BJT type detection and Beta Compensation function is disabled.

1: The automatic BJT type detection and Beta Compensation function is enabled. At the beginning of

every measurement, the BJT type or PNP beta will be detected and the optimal setting for the BJT will

be determined and applied. For DIA1412, the default value for ENABLE is “1”. And the BETA [2:0] bits

will be automatically updated.

If the automatic BJT type detection and Beta Compensation function is enabled, these bits will be

updated automatically and writing to these bits will have no effect. If the automatic BJT type detection

and Beta Compensation function is disabled, the user need to set the BJT type or PNP beta range for

the each external channels. It is recommended to use the default for the beta configuration registers.
