If the functional reset was unexpected, the next steps depends on the application.
Unexpected reset always means a sudden critical problem that had happened in the
microcontroller.
Some of the possibilities of next steps are:
•
Continue as it would be destructive reset with complete initialization
•
Generate a destructive reset to run STCU built in self tests again to check if there is no
new fault present in the microcontroller
