ZVS detection application
The STCC08 “Power switch signal shaping” block can be used to detect the zero crossing of
the AC line voltage. The resistor RAC must be connected between AC input and the AC line
as shown in Figure 15. The AVF signal toggles between VCC and zero level at each zero
crossing of the AC line voltage.

ZVS detection
Equation 10 defines the maximal AVF signal low level width (
ΔtAVF) at each zero crossing of
the AC line voltage according to the value of resistor RAC.
