39 / 185 page ![]() Rev. 1.20 38 De�e��e� 0�� 201� Rev. 1.20 39 De�e��e� 0�� 201� HT66F319 Enhanced A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM and UART HT66F319 Enhanced A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM and UART System Operation Modes Therearesixdifferentmodesofoperationforthemicrocontroller,eachonewithitsown specialcharacteristicsandwhichcanbechosenaccordingtothespecificperformanceand powerrequirementsoftheapplication.Therearetwomodesallowingnormaloperationofthe microcontroller,theNORMALModeandSLOWMode.Theremainingfourmodes,theSLEEP0, SLEEP1,IDLE0andIDLE1ModeareusedwhenthemicrocontrollerCPUisswitchedoffto conservepower. Operating Mode Description CPU fSYS fSUB fS fTBC NORMAL Mode on fH~fH/�4 on on on SLOW Mode on fSUB on on on IDLE0 Mode off off on on on IDLE1 Mode off on on on on SLEEP0 Mode off off off off off SLEEP1 Mode off off on on off NORMAL Mode Asthenamesuggeststhisisoneofthemainoperatingmodeswherethemicrocontrollerhasallof itsfunctionsoperationalandwherethesystemclockisprovidedbyoneofthehighspeedoscillators. Thismodeoperatesallowingthemicrocontrollertooperatenormallywithaclocksourcewillcome fromoneofthehighspeedoscillators,eithertheHXTorHIRCoscillators.Thehighspeedoscillator willhoweverfirstbedividedbyaratiorangingfrom1to64,theactualratiobeingselectedbythe CKS2~CKS0andHLCLKbitsintheSMODregister.Althoughahighspeedoscillatorisused, runningthemicrocontrolleratadividedclockratioreducestheoperatingcurrent. SLOW Mode Thisisalsoamodewherethemicrocontrolleroperatesnormallyalthoughnowwithaslowerspeed clocksource.Theclocksourceusedwillbefromoneofthelowspeedoscillators,eithertheLXT ortheLIRC.Runningthemicrocontrollerinthismodeallowsittorunwithmuchloweroperating currents.IntheSLOWMode,thefHisoff. SLEEP0 Mode TheSLEEPModeisenteredwhenanHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheIDLENbitinthe SMODregisterislow.IntheSLEEP0modetheCPUwillbestopped,andthefSUBandfSclockswill bestoppedtoo,andtheWatchdogTimerfunctionisdisabled.Inthismode,theLVDENismustset to"0".IftheLVDENissetto"1",itwon’tentertheSLEEP0Mode. SLEEP1 Mode TheSLEEPModeisenteredwhenanHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheIDLENbitin theSMODregisterislow.IntheSLEEP1modetheCPUwillbestopped.HoweverthefSUBandfS clockswillcontinuetooperateiftheLVDENis"1"ortheWatchdogTimerfunctionisenabledwith itsclocksourcecomingfromthefSUB. IDLE0 Mode TheIDLE0ModeisenteredwhenaHALTinstructionisexecutedandwhentheIDLENbitinthe SMODregisterishighandtheFSYSONbitintheCTRLregisterislow.IntheIDLE0Modethe systemoscillatorwillbeinhibitedfromdrivingtheCPUbutsomeperipheralfunctionswillremain operationalsuchastheWatchdogTimer,TMsandI2C.IntheIDLE0Mode,thesystemoscillator willbestopped. |
