A/D Flash MCU with EEPROM
Entering the SLEEP1 Mode
ThereisonlyonewayforthedevicetoentertheSLEEP1Modeandthatistoexecutethe"HALT"
instructionintheapplicationprogramwiththeIDLENbitintheSMODregisterequalto"0"andthe
WDTison.Whenthisinstructionisexecutedundertheconditionsdescribedabove,thefollowing
willoccur:
• ThesystemclockandTimeBaseclockwillbestoppedandtheapplicationprogramwillstopat
the"HALT"instruction,buttheWDTwillremainwiththeclocksourcecomingfromthefSUB
clock.
• TheDataMemorycontentsandregisterswillmaintaintheirpresentcondition.
• TheWDTwillbeclearedandresumecountingiftheWDTisenabled.
• TheI/Oportswillmaintaintheirpresentconditions.
• Inthestatusregister,thePowerDownflagPDFwillbeset,andWDTtimeoutflagTOwillbe
cleared.
Entering the IDLE0 Mode
ThereisonlyonewayforthedevicetoentertheIDLE0Modeandthatistoexecutethe"HALT"
instructionintheapplicationprogramwiththeIDLENbitintheSMODregisterequalto"1"and
theFSYSONbitintheCTRLregisterequalto"0".Whenthisinstructionisexecutedunderthe
conditionsdescribedabove,thefollowingwilloccur:
• Thesystemclockwillbestoppedandtheapplicationprogramwillstopatthe"HALT"
instruction,buttheTimeBaseandfSUBclockswillbeon.
• TheDataMemorycontentsandregisterswillmaintaintheirpresentcondition.
• TheWDTwillbeclearedandresumecountingiftheWDTisenabled.
• TheI/Oportswillmaintaintheirpresentconditions.
• Inthestatusregister,thePowerDownflagPDFwillbeset,andWDTtimeoutflagTOwillbe
cleared.

ThereisonlyonewayforthedevicetoentertheIDLE1Modeandthatistoexecutethe"HALT"
instructionintheapplicationprogramwiththeIDLENbitintheSMODregisterequalto"1"and
theFSYSONbitintheCTRLregisterequalto"1".Whenthisinstructionisexecutedunderthe
conditionsdescribedabove,thefollowingwilloccur:
• ThesystemclockandthelowfrequencyfSUBclockswillbeonbuttheapplicationprogramwill
stopatthe"HALT"instruction.
• TheDataMemorycontentsandregisterswillmaintaintheirpresentcondition.
• TheWDTwillbeclearedandresumecountingiftheWDTisenabled.
• TheI/Oportswillmaintaintheirpresentconditions.
• Inthestatusregister,thePowerDownflagPDFwillbeset,andWDTtimeoutflagTOwillbe
cleared.
