TM Interrupts

ThePeriodictypeTMhastwointernalinterrupt,oneforeachoftheinternalcomparatorAor

comparatorP,whichgenerateaTMinterruptwhenacomparematchconditionoccurs.WhenaTM

interruptisgenerated,itcanbeusedtoclearthecounterandalsotochangethestateoftheTM

outputpin.

ThePeriodictypeTMseachhasoneTMinputpin,withthelabelTCKn.TheTMinputpinis

essentiallyaclocksourcefortheTMandisselectedusingtheTnCK2~TnCK0bitsintheTMnC0

externalTMinputpinissharedwithotherfunctionsbutwillbeconnectedtotheinternalTMif

selectedusingtheTnCK2~TnCK0bits.TheTMinputpincanbechosentohaveeitherarisingor

fallingactiveedge.TheTCKnpinisalsousedastheexternaltriggerinputpininsinglepulseoutput

modeforthePTM.

ThePeriodictypeTMseachhasoneoutputpinwiththelabelTPn.WhentheTMisintheCompare

MatchOutputMode,thesepinscanbecontrolledbytheTMtoswitchtoahighorlowlevelorto

togglewhenacomparematchsituationoccurs.TheexternalTPnoutputpinisalsothepinwhere

theTMgeneratesthePWMoutputwaveform.TheTPnpinactsasaninputwhentheTMissetup

tooperateintheCaptureInputMode.AstheTPnpinsarepin-sharedwithotherfunctions,theTPn

pinfunctionisenabledordisabledaccordingtotheinternalTMon/offcontrol,operationmodeand

outputcontrolsettings.WhenthecorrespondingTMconfigurationselectstheTPnpintobeusedas

anoutputpin,theassociatedpinwillbesetupasanexternalTMoutputpin.IftheTMconfiguration

selectstheTPnpintobesetupasaninputpin,theinputsignalsuppliedontheassociatedpincan

bederivedfromanexternalsignalandotherpin-sharedoutputfunction.IftheTMconfiguration

determinesthattheTPnpinfunctionisnotused,theassociatedpinwillbecontrolledbyother

pin-sharedfunctions.ThedetailsoftheTPnpinforeachTMtypeanddeviceareprovidedinthe

accompanyingtable.
