General Description

ThedevicesareaFlashMemoryA/DwithLCDtype8-bithighperformanceRISCarchitecture

microcontrollerdesignedforapplicationsthatinterfacedirectlytoanalogsignalsandwhichrequire

anLCDinterface.OfferinguserstheconvenienceofFlashMemorymulti-programmingfeatures,

thesedevicesalsoincludeawiderangeoffunctionsandfeatures.Othermemoryincludesanarea

ofRAMDataMemoryaswellasIAPforstorageofnon-volatiledatasuchasserialnumbers,

calibrationdataetc.

Analogfeaturesincludeamulti-channel12-bitA/Dconverter.MultipleandextremelyflexibleTimer

Modulesprovidetiming,pulsegenerationandPWMgenerationfunctions.Communicationwiththe

outsideworldiscateredforbyincludingfullyintegratedSPIorI2Cinterfacefunctions,twopopular

interfaceswhichprovidedesignerswithameansofeasycommunicationwithexternalperipheral

hardware.ProtectivefeaturessuchasaninternalWatchdogTimer,LowVoltageResetandLow

VoltageDetectorcoupledwithexcellentnoiseimmunityandESDprotectionensurethatreliable

operationismaintainedinhostileelectricalenvironments.

AfullchoiceofHXT,LXT,ERC,HIRCandLIRCoscillatorfunctionsareprovidedincludinga

fullyintegratedsystemoscillatorwhichrequiresnoexternalcomponentsforitsimplementation.

Theabilitytooperateandswitchdynamicallybetweenarangeofoperatingmodesusingdifferent

clocksourcesgivesuserstheabilitytooptimisemicrocontrolleroperationandminimisepower

consumption.
