TheselectionoftherequiredclocksourceisimplementedusingtheTnCK2~TnCK0bitsintheTM controlregisters.TheclocksourcecanbearatioofeitherthesystemclockfSYSortheinternalhigh clockfH,thefTBCclocksourceortheexternalTCKnpin.Notethatsettingthesebitstothevalue101 willselectareservedclockinput,ineffectdisconnectingtheTMclocksource.TheTCKnpinclock sourceisusedtoallowanexternalsignaltodrivetheTMasanexternalclocksourceorforevent counting. TM Interrupts TheCompactandStandardtypeTMseachhavetwointernalinterrupts,oneforeachoftheinternal comparatorAorcomparatorP,whichgenerateaTMinterruptwhenacomparematchcondition occurs.AstheEnhancedtypeTMhasthreeinternalcomparatorsandcomparatorAorcomparator BorcomparatorPcomparematchfunctions,itconsequentlyhasthreeinternalinterrupts.Whena TMinterruptisgenerateditcanbeusedtoclearthecounterandalsotochangethestateoftheTM outputpin. TM External Pins EachoftheTMs,irrespectiveofwhattype,hasoneTMinputpin,withthelabelTCKn.TheTM inputpinisessentiallyaclocksourcefortheTMandisselectedusingtheTnCK2~TnCK0bitsin theTMnC0register.ThisexternalTMinputpinallowsanexternalclocksourcetodrivetheinternal TM.ThisexternalTMinputpinissharedwithotherfunctionsbutwillbeconnectedtotheinternal TMifselectedusingtheTnCK2~TnCK0bits.TheTMinputpincanbechosentohaveeithera risingorfallingactiveedge. TheTMseachhavemoreoutputpinswiththelabelTPn.WhentheTMisintheCompareMatch OutputMode,thesepinscanbecontrolledbytheTMtoswitchtoahighorlowlevelortotoggle whenacomparematchsituationoccurs.TheexternalTPnoutputpinisalsothepinwheretheTM generatesthePWMoutputwaveform.AstheTMoutputpinsarepin-sharedwithotherfunction,the TMoutputfunctionmustfirstbesetupusingregisters.Asinglebitinoneoftheregistersdetermines ifitsassociatedpinistobeusedasanexternalTMoutputpinorifitistohaveanotherfunction.
