The Auto-Negotiation state machine will automatically control the this bit based on the incoming FLP bursts. Software should not attempt to write to this bit. 13 MP 0, RO Message Page: 1 = Message Page. 0 = Unformatted Page. 12 ACK2 0, RO Acknowledge 2: 1 = Link Partner does have the ability to comply to next page message. 0 = Link Partner does not have the ability to comply to next page message. 11 Toggle 0, RO Toggle: 1 = Previous value of the transmitted Link Code word equaled 0. 0 = Previous value of the transmitted Link Code word equaled 1. 10:0 CODE <000 0000 0000>, Code: RO This field represents the code field of the next page transmission. If the MP bit is set (bit 13 of this register), then the code shall be interpreted as a “Message Page,” as defined in annex 28C of Clause 28. Otherwise, the code shall be interpreted as an “Unformatted Page,” and the interpretation is application specific.
