Inthismodeoncethecounterisenabledandrunningitcanbeclearedbythreemethods.Theseare acounteroverflow,acomparematchfromComparatorAandacomparematchfromComparatorP. WhenthePTCCLRbitislow,therearetwowaysinwhichthecountercanbecleared.Oneiswhen acomparematchfromComparatorP,theotheriswhentheCCRPbitsareallzerowhichallowsthe countertooverflow.HerebothPTMAFandPTMPFinterruptrequestflagsforComparatorAand ComparatorPrespectively,willbothbegenerated. IfthePTCCLRbitinthePTMC1registerishighthenthecounterwillbeclearedwhenacompare matchoccursfromComparatorA.However,hereonlythePTMAFinterruptrequestflagwillbe generatedevenifthevalueoftheCCRPbitsislessthanthatoftheCCRAregisters.Thereforewhen PTCCLRishighnoPTMPFinterruptrequestflagwillbegenerated.IntheCompareMatchOutput Mode,theCCRAcannotbeclearedtozero. IftheCCRAbitsareallzero,thecounterwilloverflowwhenitsreachesitsmaximum10-bit,3FF Hex,value,howeverherethePTMAFinterruptrequestflagwillnotbegenerated. Asthenameofthemodesuggests,afteracomparisonismade,thePTMoutputpin,willchange state.ThePTMoutputpinconditionhoweveronlychangesstatewhenaPTMAFinterruptrequest flagisgeneratedafteracomparematchoccursfromComparatorA.ThePTMPFinterruptrequest flag,generatedfromacomparematchoccursfromComparatorP,willhavenoeffectonthePTM outputpin.ThewayinwhichthePTMoutputpinchangesstatearedeterminedbytheconditionof thePTIO1andPTIO0bitsinthePTMC1register.ThePTMoutputpincanbeselectedusingthe PTIO1andPTIO0bitstogohigh,togolowortotogglefromitspresentconditionwhenacompare matchoccursfromComparatorA.TheinitialconditionofthePTMoutputpin,whichissetupafter thePTONbitchangesfromlowtohigh,issetupusingthePTOCbit.NotethatifthePTIO1and PTIO0bitsarezerothennopinchangewilltakeplace. |
