General Description

ThedeviceisaFlashMemoryLCD8-bithighperformanceRISCarchitecturemicrocontrollers,

designedforapplicationsthatLCDdisplayproducts.OfferinguserstheconvenienceofFlash

Memorymulti-programmingfeatures,thedevicealsoincludesawiderangeoffunctionsand

features.OthermemoryincludesanareaofRAMDataMemoryaswellasanareaoftrueEEPROM

memoryforstorageofnon-volatiledatasuchasserialnumbers,calibrationdataetc.

MultipleandextremelyflexibleTimerModulesprovidetiming,pulsegenerationandPWM

generationfunctions.Communicationwiththeoutsideworldiscateredforbyincludingfully

integratedSPI,I2CandUARTinterfacefunctions,thesepopularinterfaceswhichprovidedesigners

withameansofeasycommunicationwithexternalperipheralhardware.Protectivefeaturessuchas

aninternalWatchdogTimer,LowVoltageResetandLowVoltageDetectorcoupledwithexcellent

noiseimmunityandESDprotectionensurethatreliableoperationismaintainedinhostileelectrical

environments.

Afullchoiceofexternallowandinternalhighoscillatorfunctionsareprovidedincludingfully

integratedsystemoscillatorswhichrequirenoexternalcomponentsfortheirimplementation.The

abilitytooperateandswitchdynamicallybetweenarangeofoperatingmodesusingdifferent

clocksourcesgivesuserstheabilitytooptimisemicrocontrolleroperationandminimisepower

consumption.

TheinclusionofflexibleI/Oprogrammingfeatures,Time-Basefunctionsalongwithmanyother

featuresensurethatthedevicewillfindexcellentuseinapplicationssuchasVisibleRewriteCards

andElectronicTagsinadditiontomanyothers.
