Figure 6-3 shows the PLL settling time with a reference frequency of 1 MHz, corresponding to a 250 kHz carrier
frequency grid. The settling time to ±100 kHz is measured at approximately 140
s. This measurement illustrates
only the linear response of the PLL, that is, a PLL calibration is not performed. For this measurement the PLL is
directly commanded to change frequencies by writing the M-divider value.
