To Configure as PS2 Device
ThedevicescanalsobeconfiguredasaUSBinterfaceorPS2interfacedevice,byconfiguring
MODE_CTRL0(bit4oftheUSRregister)andMODE_CTRL1(bit5oftheUSRregister).If
MODE_CTRL0=1,andMODE_CTRL1=0,thedevicewillbeconfiguredasaPS2interface,pin
UDNisconfiguredasaPS2DatapinandUDPisconfiguredasaPS2Clkpin.Theusercanreador
writetothePS2DataorPS2ClkpinbyaccessingthecorrespondingbitPS2_DAI(bit4oftheUSC
register),PS2_CKI(bit5oftheUSCregister),PS2_DAO(bit6oftheUSCregister)andPS2_CKO
(bit7oftheUSCregister)respectively.
Theusershouldmakesurethatinordertoreadthedataproperly,thecorrespondingoutputbitmust
besetto“1”.Forexample,ifitisdesiredtoreadthePS2DatabyreadingPS2_DAI,thenPS2_DAO
shouldsetto“1”.Otherwiseitisalwaysreadas“0”.
IfMODE_CTRL0=0,andMODE_CTRL1=1,thedeviceisconfiguredasaUSBinterface.Boththe
UDNandUDParedrivenbytheSIEofthedevices.TheusercanonlywriteorreadtheUSBdata
throughthecorrespondingFIFO.BoththeMODE_CTRL0andMODE_CTRL1defaultis“0”.
USB Control Registers
TherearetwelveregistersusedfortheUSBfunction.TheAWRregistercontainsthecurrentaddress
andaremotewakeupfunctioncontrolbit.TheinitialvalueofAWRis"00H".Theaddressvalue
extractedfromtheUSBcommandisnottobeloadedintothisregisteruntiltheSETUPstageis
completed.
