A/D Converter Overview Thisdevicecontainsamulti-channelanalogtodigitalconverterwhichcandirectlyinterfaceto externalanalogsignals,suchasthatfromsensorsorothercontrolsignalsandconvertthesesignals directlyintoa12-bitdigitalvalue.Italsocanconverttheinternalsignals,theBandgapreference voltageVBG,10×IS,USBD+/D-internaldividerregistersoutputvoltageVDPVDO/VDNVDO,intoa 12-bitdigitalvalue.Theexternalorinternalanalogsignaltobeconvertedisdeterminedbythe SAINS2~SAINS0bitstogetherwiththeSACS3~SACS0bits.Whentheexternalanalogsignalisto beconverted,thecorrespondingpin-sharedcontrolbitsshouldfirstbeproperlyconfiguredandthen desiredexternalchannelinputshouldbeselectedusingtheSAINS2~SAINS0andSACS3~SACS0 bits.Notethatwhentheinternalanalogsignalistobeconverted,thepin-sharedcontrolbitsshould alsobeproperlyconfiguredexcepttheSAINSandSACSbitfields.Moredetailedinformationabout theA/Dinputsignalisdescribedinthe"A/DConverterControlRegisters"and"A/DConverter InputSignals"sectionsrespectively.
