DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
Development support can be classified into two groups:
• Development Tools
• Technical Documentation
9.1
Development Tools
Several development tools are available to assist in the
design and evaluation of the MCP48CXBXX devices.
The currently available tools are shown in Table 9-1.
Figure 9-1 shows how the ADM00309 bond-out PCB
can be populated to easily evaluate the MCP48CXBXX
devices. Device evaluation can use the PICkit™ Serial
Analyzer to control the DAC output registers and state
of the Configuration, Control and Status register.
The ADM00309 boards may be purchased directly
from the Microchip web site at www.microchip.com.
9.2
Technical Documentation
Several additional technical documents for design and
development
are
available.
These
technical
documents include Application Notes, Technical Briefs,
and Design Guides. Table 9-2 lists some of these
documents.

The MSOP-10 and MSOP-8 Evaluation Board is a
bond-out board that allows the system designer to
quickly evaluate the operation of Microchip
Technology’s devices in any of the following packages:
• MSOP (8/10-pin)
• DIP (10-pin)

Supports the PICkit™ Serial Analyzer. See the User’s Guide for additional information and requirements.
