DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT
Development support can be classified into two groups:
• Development Tools
• Technical Documentation
9.1
Development Tools
Several development tools are available to assist in your
design and evaluation of the MCP47CXBXX devices.
The currently available tools are shown in Table 9-1.
Figure 9-1 shows how the ADM00309 bond-out PCB
can be populated to easily evaluate the MCP47CXBXX
devices. Device evaluation can use the PICkit™ Serial
Analyzer to control the DAC Output registers and state
of the Configuration, Control and Status registers.
The ADM00309 boards may be purchased directly
from the Microchip web site at www.microchip.com.
9.2
Technical Documentation
Several additional technical documents are available to
assist you in your design and development. These
technical documents include Application Notes,
Technical Briefs and Design Guides. Table 9-2 lists
some of these documents.

bond-out board that allows the system designer to
quickly evaluate the operation of Microchip
Technology’s devices in any of the following packages:
• MSOP (8/10-pin)
• DIP (10 pin)
