Echo with Inversion in Octal Mode — DDR 13.14 Enter Octal Mode (E8h) The Enter Octal Mode command can only be executed from standard SPI mode. Before the Enter Octal Mode command can be issued, the Write Enable (06h) command must have been previously issued to set the WEL bit in the Status/Control register to a logic “1”. To issue the Enter Octal Mode command, the CS pin must first be asserted and the command of E8h must be clocked into the device. Figure 13-21.
