12 Functional description

The FS23 device has one main state machine. The main state machine manages the power management, the

Low-Power modes, and the wake-up sources. The main state machine also manages the monitoring of the

power management, the monitoring of the MCU, and the monitoring of an external IC.

In parallel, an INIT state machine is implemented to manage the INIT state of the device. This state is used for

the configuration of the device per SPI/I2C.

The safety pins RSTB, FS0B, and LIMP0 are managed independently from each other, in parallel of the main

state machine.
